The purpose of this study is to analyze the discrimination in the story of The Best of Enemies through its intrinsic and extrinsic approaches. The intrinsic approach used in this study is characterization, plot, setting, and theme. The extrinsic approach used in this study is the concept sociology of discrimination by Fred L Pincus. The approach of this research is using qualitative research. The object of this research is the movie script The Best of Enemies by Robin Bissell. The result of the research is as follows, the elaboration between characterization, plot, and setting with discrimination through individual discrimination, and the elaboration between characterization, plot, and setting with institutional discrimination. Based on this research, the movie script of The Best of Enemies represents discrimination through intrinsic approaches such as characterization, plot, and setting. Also, this research talks about race discrimination which resulted in the victory of integration school for black people.
