This research aims to analyze the five stages of grief reflected by the character Dani in the movie script “Midsommar” as the object of research by using a literary psychological approach using Kubler-Ross' five stages of grief theory. The intrinsic approach is used to analyze data such as: characterization, plot, and setting. While the extrinsic approach is used to apply the five stages of grief displayed on Dani's character in the movie script “Midsommar”. This research uses a descriptive qualitative narrative approach. This study uses data sources in the form of a movie script entitled “Midsommar,” directed and written by Ari Aster. The results of this study show that the script of the movie “Midsommar” reflects a character named Dani Ardor who experiences the five stages of grief (Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance) after losing his family, which ultimately affects his life. This research shows that these five stages of grief are Dani's struggles during the grieving process: emotional support, letting go, and acceptance. It can be explained that sadness and grief will not last forever because it is a process of healing from pain and trauma. The end process of these stages is the stage of letting go and making peace with his past to live a better future.
